Rituals

I find it interesting looking at tiny little rituals in our everyday lives and create narratives from these rituals that can form objects.

DIY work out chair

The DIY school chairs´ archetypical form communicates with us in different ways, as associations are made with certain functions and emotions. Ways of recycling elements for everyday use and a back-to-basic approach appeals to me. This chair withdraws from consumerisme.

It can also bring to mind the idea of a stage, where the user is transformed into being an actor who concsiously plays a performance and adopts an identity.

Napkin.

This napkin is the result of looking at rituals related to low-value objects. The unconscious behaviour of putting a napkin under a wobbly table is what is visualized in this tiny little helper.
